TO USE THIS KIT YOU MUST UPGRADE YOUR CR10 SMART TO AN AFTERMARKET CONTROL BOARD USING THE 'EASY SWAP' PCB KIT. LINK TO PCB KIT IN THE DESCRIPTION BELOW. PLEASE NOTE: Recently BondTech has released the LGX Lite V2. Unfortunately they removed the ability to mount the LGX lite with a "sandwich" plate like this kit uses.

PLEASE NOTE: Recently BondTech has released the LGX Lite V2. Unfortunately they removed the ability to mount the LGX lite with a sandwich plate like this kit uses. To use this kit you will need to buy the V1 extruder that has the removable plate between the extruder and the motor. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BELOW The Creality CR10 Smart printer is a platform that has a lot of potential. However, there are a few design elements of the printer that could use some improvements to allow the printer to realize its full potential as a high quality printing machine. The Creality hot end incorporates a strain gauge sensor into the design for the purpose of auto bed levelling. Essentially, the nozzle becomes the auto bed level probe. While this is interesting, it limits the number of compatible upgrades and has proven to be problematic over time. The purpose of this kit is to replace this strain gauge sensor with a CR-touch or BL-touch probe. You will need to use the 'Easy Swap' PCB kit to do this and you can find that here: CR10 Smart + CR6-SE Mainboard Easy Swap PCB Kit MicroSwiss offers an all metal hot end listed for the CR6 SE that will work on the CR10 Smart as seen from my video. It is a drop in replacement. You can use the MicroSwiss CR-6SE hotend or the regular Creality CR-6 SE hotend (less money but not all metal) to make this kit work. The CR10 Smart hotend does not have the mounting points to properly secure this fan shroud. Additionally, the bowden tube setup is not ideal for high quality printing on this machine. A direct drive extruder is far superior and the Bondtech LGX Lite combines precision and low mass to achieve a fantastic direct drive solution. Therefore if you want to get the most out of your Creality CR10 Smart, the combination of the two modifications will allow you to run higher temperature materials and achieve more consistent extrusion. The transition from Bowden tube to direct drive (Bondtech LGX Lite) will also increase your filament control by eliminating the 'spring' inherent with a Bowden tube setup. I have noticed much less stringing and oozing when printing in PETG. Lastly, this kit allows you to install a much more effective 5015 part cooling fan. The shroud features dual part cooling fan ducts and is a huge improvement over the single 4010 fan from the original equipment. Please note the fan is not included in the kit. All parts are printed in carbon fiber PETG material. Please remember that you will need to upgrade your main control board to eliminate the strain gauge sensor. This kit is NOT compatible with the original strain gauge sensor. If you are looking for the MicroSwiss and LGX conversion kit compatible with the original strain gauge sensor, you can find that here: Original LGX and MicroSwiss kit for CR10 Smart What is included in the kit: LGX Lite Mount Strain Relief Mount 5015 Fan Shroud CR-touch / BL-touch Mount Hotend Mount Filament Tube Guide Hardware What is not included in the kit: Bondtech LGX Lite MicroSwiss CR-6 SE All Metal Hotend Creality CR-6 SE Hotend (Alternative to MicroSwiss) CR-Touch Probe 24V 5015 Fan As an associate I may earn a small commission (at no extra cost to you).
